Stroke symptoms and causes and prevention
Stroke is a disease that we know a lot about, but we don't have much awareness about it. It affects everyone from young to old. Once a stroke occurs, it is a lifelong problem for the patient and even the family members. If a stroke occurs, the chance of recovery is only 5 percent. So, let's see how to deal with this paralysis.
It is a disease caused by a blood clot or blockage of blood flow to the brain. This is also called a stroke or a stroke. It is called a stroke in English because it comes suddenly without any previous symptoms.
How is it coming?
There are two main causes of stroke. One is the blockage of blood flow. Second Bleeding. Fat deposits are the main cause of stroke caused by blood flow obstruction.
That is, when fat and fatty deposits build up on the inner walls of the blood vessels, the vessels become hardened. As blood vessels harden, the size of their inner lining decreases. This can lead to changes in blood flow and blood clots. Hence, stroke may occur.
Hemorrhagic arthritis
High blood pressure is the leading cause of hemorrhagic stroke. When blood leaks out of the blood vessels and spreads into the brain tissue, the tissue becomes damaged. Brain tissue near the area of the leak in the brain vessels can also be affected by loss of blood flow.
Apart from high blood pressure, vascular disease and relaxation of blood vessels can also lead to bleeding and stroke. But doctors say that strokes caused by blood flow are more common than strokes caused by bleeding.
Symptoms
Unexplained severe headache, sudden blurring of vision, loss of vision, blurred vision (occurring in one eye only), unexplained twitching, unsteady swaying, stumbling, sudden numbness of one part of the body, face, arms, legs, loss of touch, loss of speech, Difficulty speaking, and slurred speech are symptoms of stroke.
If one has one or more of these symptoms, one should consult a doctor immediately. Some people may lose consciousness due to this disease. Even if you survive, your speech, vision, and ability to think may be affected. A part of the face or body may become paralyzed.
Family history
If someone in the family is already suffering from this disease, one should be careful. It occurs due to family tradition or genetics. As age increases, so does the risk of stroke.
Males are twice as likely to be affected than females. But women also come.
Effects
By treating a stroke promptly, damage to brain tissue is minimized. This may also reduce disability. 50 to 70 percent of people who have a stroke are able to return to taking care of their needs on their own. However, 15 to 30 percent may become permanently bedridden and permanently disabled.
Prevention methods
We cannot change some of the causes of stroke. That means family history, genetic factors etc. cannot be changed. However, medications and lifestyle changes can correct some causes. The symptoms of this disease are often not immediately recognizable.
People who are known to be prone to stroke at first can take the pill with doctor's advice. This will prevent arguments to some extent. Certain habits and regular health care can prevent this disease from occurring. In particular, people with high blood pressure are 4 to 6 times more likely to have a stroke than others.
Blood pressure should be maintained at a level of 120/80. Smoking increases the risk of bleeding by 4 percent. Therefore, smoking should be avoided. People with coronary artery disease are more likely to have a stroke. Many people with diabetes are three times more likely to have a stroke. It is good to take care not to increase the blood sugar level.
When low-density lipoproteins increase in the blood, the blood vessels are likely to harden. Conversely, when high-density lipoproteins are increased, they prevent hardening of the arteries
