How to whiten teeth naturally
How do you whiten your teeth without chemicals or expensive treatments?
There are many ways to whiten teeth. Some people try over-the-counter toothpaste, while others visit dentists for professional whitening. But these methods can be expensive and painful. The good news is that there are natural alternatives to chemical whiteners.
Whitening your teeth is as simple as baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. This method has been around for years and is inexpensive. And because it uses common household ingredients, it can be done at home.
How to whiten teeth naturally at home
1. Lemon juice
Lemon juice is one of the best home remedies for whitening teeth. Take 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice mixed in water and gargle twice daily for about 30 minutes. Avoid touching the inside of your mouth after using lemon juice. If you don't want to use lemon juice, try drinking fresh orange juice instead. Orange juice contains vitamin C, citric acid, pectin, and iron. These nutrients stimulate the production of collagen, which helps produce brighter white teeth.
2. Milk and salt
Mix some milk and salt together and rinse your mouth with it regularly. Make sure to brush your teeth right before going to bed, and do not eat anything before doing this routine. Use this mixture two times a day for at least 2 weeks. Then stop rinsing your mouth with the liquid and continue brushing your teeth normally. You may notice that your teeth look whiter than they were before.
3. Coffee
Coffee is great for keeping your breath fresh and freshening your appearance. Add some ground coffee beans to hot water and let it sit for 10 minutes. Strain out the grounds and then add the liquid to your mouth. Rinse off with warm water and repeat as often as necessary.
4. Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar works well for whitening teeth. Mix equal parts ACV and water and mix them together and drink the mixture. Do this three times per week for a few days, until you notice improvement. After that, you should drink the mixture once a day.
5. Sugar
If you have any toothpaste left over from whitening your teeth, put it in a container and sprinkle sugar on top. Let it sit overnight and brush your teeth first thing in the morning. Repeat this procedure every night for 4 nights (or however long it takes). Doing this will help remove stains and keep your teeth looking bright white.
6. Aloe Vera gel
Aloe Vera is one of the most effective natural ingredients for whitening teeth. Pour Aloe Vera gel on a cotton ball and place it on your tongue. Wait 15 minutes, then spit it out. Try doing this once or twice a week for 20 days, and eventually, you'll start noticing results.
7. Honey
Honey is a wonderful natural remedy for those who cannot tolerate sugar. Put honey in a small bowl and stir it thoroughly. Dip a spoon in the mixture and apply it to your teeth. Leave it on for 5 minutes, and then brush your teeth with baking soda.
